ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
HOW DO WE MEASURE SUCCESS?
Pastor Wayne shared a very powerful quote by Mother Teresa in his message on Sunday: "We are not called to be successful, but faithful." While the world often measures success by external gain such as wealth, power, or fame, God has a completely different way of looking at it. Time and time again in the Bible we read of God commending people who are faithful. He sees past the outward state of a man and looks into the heart, seeing and rewarding those who have persevered and remained faithful regardless of the circumstances they have walked through. As followers of Christ, we must let go of the world's definitions of success and adopt God's call to an inner life of integrity. This is where we will find true fulfillment and an eternal "well done."
"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man."

- We invite you to join the church of Lethbridge as we worship in Galt Gardens this Saturday (August 26th) from 3:00-7:00 pm!
- Saturday's "Men's Connect" led by Stuart is back on, as well as the Saturday Evangelism Group.
- Tuesday evening prayer is back up and going! Join us here at OLC tonight at 7:00 pm to be a part of it all!
- This Sunday Pastor Wayne will be giving part 3 of his sermon series on Faithfulness! The sermon notes from last Sunday are available on our website here.
