Waiting on the Lord
In the book of 1 Samuel, David provides us with an amazing example of how we should live our lives through what feels like a "waiting period." David had cultivated such a life of integrity before God in his private life, that no matter what came his way, he continued to honor God. Once he was in the public eye, he walked through a very trying and probably confusing time, but at each opportunity that he had to bring forth what God had promised to him on questionable terms, David chose the high road of integrity instead. God saw David's steadfast heart and greatly honored him in return when the time was right! We will never miss out on God's best for us by compromising, but instead we know that as we seek first the righteousness of the Lord in our lives, we are on the right path for us!  

"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need."

ANNOUNCEMENTS 

• The Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre's "Baby Bottle Campaign" is going on! Join us until Father's Day in helping provide finances for the Centre by filling a bottle (available in the Connect Hub) with cash or cheques, or by donating online! We're thrilled to partner with this amazing ministry that is helping to provide care and a safe place for those experiencing unexpected pregnancies in our community. • We're putting on a free lunch here at the church for all of our seniors after the Sunday service this week! There will also be a Hymn Sing after lunch for all who want to participate! *Donations will be accepted for the youth, who will be making and serving lunch!

• YWAM Medicine Hat is coming to OLC to put on a youth night on May 31st at 7:00 pm! This will be a night of worship and empowering our young people in their faith, and we're very excited for it!

• We're going to Ethiopia in July of 2025! This is such an exciting opportunity, and if you are interested in being a part of this missions trip, we invite you to join us on June 7th at 6:30 pm for our info night! There you will find out all of the details of the trip and can get an application form! *We encourage parents of youth to attend with their youth!

• We want to honor all of our 2024 grads! If you have graduated from any kind of secondary or post-secondary school or course this year, please let us know so we can celebrate you during our service on June 9th!
