As you may have heard Alberta is moving into Stage 2 of opening the province up from it’s lockdown on Friday June 12th, 2020. Our Premier, Jason Kenney, announced today that for events and gathering in Stage 2 there is no cap on the number of people (with public health measures in place) on worship gatherings. Therefore, One Life Church, church is opening its doors on Sunday June 14th @ 10:30am for church service.
Due to the change, we will forgo the communion drive through service from 9:30am – 11:30am and instead will have a communion service in the sanctuary @ 10:30am. Because our sanctuary is quite large, we have the ability to seat up to 225 people with social distancing in place and you will not need to let us know that you are coming. You may sit with your cohort families and/or cohort friends which can be up to 15 people, in the same row as per new rules. To keep social distancing, every other row is blocked off and the balcony will be open.
Unfortunately there is still no children’s minstry allowed at this time. We will have some material ready for your children during the service. There will be no coffee or refreshments available, but you are more then welcome to bring your own coffee. We will be live-streaming the service on our website www.onelifechurch.ca and we will have the address on our facebook page to connect to the live-streaming service at 10:30am Sunday Morning if you are unable to attend in person. Please feel comfortable wearing a Personal Face Mask, however we will not be providing them for you, therefore please bring your own. All other ‘public health measures’ have been put into place.
Ps. If you do feel sick, have a nasty cold, cough, have a fever, or if you have traveled outside the country in the last 14 days, we unfortunately are unable to let you into the building.
We want to thank our provincial government for allowing churches to have church again without a cap on numbers. We are the 1st Province in Canada to have this priviledge.
