September is almost gone and done and October is only days away. As we look back on the last month it has been a real blessing to us as a Church. Our church was once again filled with the sounds of children's laughter as OLC Kids started up at the beginning of the month. Connect groups were getting together, albeit in a different format than the usual home groups but our church family is connecting once again. Many other ministries started up as well, and we thank and praise God that He has been a part of them all. Keep praying for our leaders and volunteers that God will fill them with a freshness each week as they serve and guide.

Condolences

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest of sympathies go with Peter Dzioba in the passing of his wife Isabelle. There will be no funeral as they wish to just keep it to close family. We lift them up with prayers, and we hope you will as well in this difficult time.

Church events:

Staff and Elders retreat from October 2nd - October 3rd. Please keep our staff and elders in your prayers as they seek God on behalf of our congregation
This weekend we will be joined by Lonnie Sims, join us this Sunday, October 5th, as we get to hear from this amazing man of God
Starting October 7th we will be having our Abide series happening. If you have time please come on out. It is a great way to learn more about hearing from God and many other things to create a firm foundation on what God is doing in our lives as a Church and us as individuals
There will be a hospitality training on October 17th - Just open the door - this is part 2 from the one that was held at the beginning of the year, contact Sherry Legault for more information

Words to think on:

I want you to stop what you are doing right now, put down that vacuum, stop working on that important report, you can solve that math problem later, just pull over from your life for a second. 
God wants you to know something. He wants you to know that you are loved, that you are important and that you are needed. You are special to Him like no other. He doesn't care what you have done, He doesn't care what you look like or how you act. God loves you for who you are because He created you that way, and God does not make mistakes!
Take the time right now and talk to God, just a few minutes out of your busy day and have a conversation with your Heavenly Father, He's missed you and He still loves you!
