Hello OLC family, it seems that the white stuff has finally arrived and with it the reminder that a new season will soon be upon us. We hope that you are all keeping safe and warm out there, the temperatures might not be quite that cold yet but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a nice warm fire and a glass of hot chocolate!
Church Events:
- Coming up this week we have a special guest with us, author of Access Granted, Steve Holmstrom. Hosted by Lethbridge House of prayer, Steve will be here on October 23rd at 7pm, 24th at 10am and 7pm and speaking at OLC on October 25th at 10:30am. Contact Jennifer Thomas for more information
- It's that time of year when we get to do Operation Christmas Child! Although, this year we are doing things a bit differently. Instead of picking up a shoebox at the church and filling it at home everything will be done online. All you have to do is go to www.packabox.ca and from there you can choose to either have a box filled for you or you can pick out a few items that you would like in your box! For more info just contact the church office.
- Our YouTube channel is officially live! Make sure you head on over and click on the subscribe button and hit the little bell so you can get notified when we go live, or whenever we upload a video. You can find it right here: OneLifeChurch.
Things to think on:
We all as Christians know how important prayer is, and we hear it from pretty much everywhere. It starts in Sunday School where we are taught how to pray and Bible verses about prayer, Pastor's and mentor's tell us that we need to pray and to pray often, the Bible itself teaches all of these things as well. So what is the point I am trying to make? Well, here is the big question. When was the last time you prayed? I am talking about deep meaningful prayer, about one on one time with your Heavenly Father. Prayer is our way of having a relationship with God and the more pray the stronger your relationship with God will be. Be blessed OLC and have a fantastic week!
