Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny
Good morning OLC! Well, it is finally here, the end of August. It has already been a busy weekend here at OLC and it doesn't show signs of stopping anytime soon. If you want to know what is going on here, you can pick up a September calendar when you are with us again on Sunday. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Church Events:
-If you are a volunteer at One Life Church or if you would like to volunteer, we have our Plan to Protect Training on Saturday September 11th at 10:00am. Make sure you mark this down on your calendar, as it is mandatory if you want to volunteer at OLC.
- Thursday September 9, 2021 is our next Alberta Day of prayer and fasting. We are focusing on our municipal and federal elections, so make sure you take some time out of your day that day to pray for the upcoming elections. Pray that God's will be done and that the right candidates be put into the right positions!
- OLC Kids is growing, so we need helpers and volunteers to make sure that we are taking the best care of our kids that we can. If you can spare one Sunday a month to help talk to Pastor Mitchell.
-Game Changers is happening again starting Thursday, September 20! You can contact Bonny Wiebe for more info @ mbwiebe1@hotmail.com. Space is limited so make sure you sign up soon!
- We will be starting up our Wednesday night ministries on Wednesday, September 22nd @ 7:00pm, beginning with our Introduction to OLC! If you are new to our church, or if you haven't been to our introduction course, we want to encourage you to come out and find out what we are all about!
Things to think on
I know I keep mentioning the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but there is a good reason why I am doing this. At OLC we are all about connecting lives, building faith and releasing you into your destiny, but if we let life's distractions get in the way, it is hard to connect, build and release. That is why it is vital to make sure we are not getting distracted by things in life that do not have any meaning. I am not saying that you cannot do the things in your life that bring you joy. In fact, keep doing them! Just do not let them take over your life. Don't let them get in the way of what is actually important. Things like connecting with fellow believers, building your faith by spending time in God's word, and finding out what destiny God is releasing you into by building a stronger relationship with Him!
