ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
The God Of Endless Hope
The Christmas season is a natural time of reflection. Memories of moments from years past fill our minds, along with the feelings and emotions that are attached to those memories. As we near the close of another year, our hearts take this time to process the past and yearn for what we might anticipate for the future.
With so much uncertainty in our world and sometimes in our own lives, we can be left wondering if we have anything to hope for in this next season.
In the Bible, hope is more than just a feeling we strive for or a positive outlook on life. Hope is a choice to hold on to what God has said to be true.
Romans 15:13 says "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit"
Look at that verse again and see what words stand out to you.
God, hope, joy, peace, power, Holy Spirit.
God is the God of hope. True hope we can't achieve by ourselves. So, when we feel that we can't muster up lasting feelings of hope, we are in good company! We can only receive this hope through the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Let's also look at one of the words in the middle of the verse that we might miss at first glance. It's the word believing. It seems that the verse is saying that God fills us with hope - by the Holy Spirit - as we believe. Just as we believe God for salvation, we can believe Him that He will fill us with hope, no matter what we are going through.
If God is the God of hope, that means hope is part of Who He is. He is Endless Hope!

 All Seniors remember to come out for the upcoming
Senior's Christmas Gathering this Thursday, December 5th at 2:00 PM at the church.There will be a special Christmas program with carol singing and fellowship! Please bring a plate of goodies to share!.jpg "Christmas Basket Project (1)") For Project Christmas Baskets, we are aiming
to pack several hygiene baskets for those in need
in our community. We are looking for donations of shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, washcloths, etc. to fill baskets with! If you would like to donate any items or donate financially toward this project, please contact Agatha at 403 593 9187

Monday, December 23rd at 6:30 PM at the Church. One King, One Kingdom Joint Worship Service will be held on Sunday, December 29th at 10:30 AM at
