ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS

Hebrews says that it was for the joy set before Him that Jesus endured the cross. What was that joy that made it worth it to Him to go through so much suffering and agony? It was for the joy of being able to redeem you and call you His own. It was His love for you and the knowledge that it was the only way to save you from certain death that compelled Jesus to do what He did. He thought it was worth giving His very life for you, that you might find salvation in Him! Imagine the joy that He must be experiencing as He now watches us turn to Him and accept the precious gift that He gave to us!  

"...looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 NASB

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  

• We're currently in our "Week of Prayer!" Come out to the church from 7-8 pm tonight through Thursday (pick a night or come to all of them!) to join us in a time of preparing our hearts for Easter and praying where the Lord leads us.

• Our one-hour Good Friday service is happening this Friday at 9:00 am! A pancake breakfast put on by our awesome youth will take place downstairs following the service at 10:00 am! We hope to see you there! *Note: We will still be having our regular service on Easter Sunday!

• The church office will be closed on Easter Monday. We hope you all have a blessed weekend celebrating the incredible gift that Jesus has given to us!

• The link I shared last week for the new World Missions Continuum magazine didn't work, so if you want to read it, you can go to their website HERE and then simply click on the tab at the top of the page that reads "Continuum Magazine."

• We're putting on a 6-week course about learning to better hear and recognize God's voice in your life! This free course will happen on Monday evenings starting on April 8th. Please sign up in the Connect Hub if you would like to attend!
