ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS

DON'T GIVE UP
When God brought the Israelites into their promised land, many other nations needed to be defeated in order for them to truly possess that land. Multiple times God instructed their leader, Joshua, to be strong and courageous, not giving in to fear or discouragement when looking at the situation. As long as the Israelites honoured and obeyed God, He would bring them victory in each and every battle they would face.
As we embrace and walk into the promises of God, there is often a fight involved, but that doesn't mean we should turn around and give up on where He has called us! Instead, we can remember the words of God to Joshua: "Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Stand strong & persevere, and God will surely bring you to victory!           

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.""

• Our Man Up! Men's Conference is happening THIS WEEKEND! God has been doing something new and exciting in the men in the body of Christ, and we're looking forward to what He will continue to do at our conference!

• The Victory Worship Team from the World Missions Continuum Society in Thailand is coming to One Life Church on April 28th at 6:00 pm! All ages are invited to come out to this free event for a powerful time of worship and testimony as the team encourages us through what God is doing in Thailand! It's going to be a great night!

• Following the worship night there will be a fundraiser banquet for the World Missions Continuum Society, the ministry in Thailand led by Dr. Al and Terry Purvis! The banquet is taking place on April 30th at 6:00 pm at Third Day Church, and will include a home-cooked Asian meal and exciting stories of what is happening in Thailand! Tickets are free, but space is limited, so make sure you get one from the Connect Hub if you would like to come. For more info on WMCS, check out their website HERE.

• Our water baptism service is coming up on May 5th! If you want to get baptized at this service or have any questions regarding baptism, please talk to Pastor Wayne!
