ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Drawn To The Light
There's something about lights that captures our attention! Whether it's the beautiful Christmas light display in our neighborhood, the warm glow of a crackling fire, or simply a small candle flickering in a dark room - we are all naturally drawn to lights.
Light inspires hope that no matter how dark it is out there, one small light can and will make a difference. One small light can help us see where to go and illuminate the space around us. It provides a focal point when everything else appears dark and unclear.
The Christmas season is one of the most light-filled seasons. Not just because of the bright light displays and the decorated Christmas trees, but mostly because Christmas celebrates Jesus - the Light of the World!
Jesus Himself said in John 8:12, I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.
One could wonder if the reason humanity is so attracted to lights around Christmas is because of man's deepest, sometimes unconscious heart desire to be flooded with light - or more specifically - to be flooded with the light that leads to life.
As we look at the many lights around us this Christmas, let's ponder on the truth that God desires to touch every heart on earth with His light and love. Let's pray for those around us that they are drawn to the Light of the World.

Ladies of One Life Church, you are invited to attend a baby shower for Mina Dyck this coming Thursday, December 19th at 6:30 PM at the church! For more information, please contact Donna at 403 915 1542.
Werner and Linda Janzen have been invited to serve in Germany with YWAM from the end of January to mid-June 2025. They are looking for someone to live in their house while they are away. If you or someone you know is interested, please give them a call at 403 892 7705.

Join us for our Christmas Candlelight Service on
Monday, December 23rd at
6:30 PM at One Life Church.
One King, One Kingdom Joint Worship Service will be held on Sunday, December 29th at 10:30 AM at Westside Community Church. (480 McMaster Blvd W)
The Celebration of Life service for Ken Taylor will be held this Summer 2025. Details will be announced in the coming months.
