As Your Soul Prospers ...
The Third Letter of John in the New Testament is a very short letter with only 15 verses. The letter is addressed to Gaius. In chapter one, John prays for Gaius to prosper in all things.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
-  3 John 1:2

In this verse, we see that it is God's will for us as believers to prosper in all things and to be in good health. We also see that there is a connection between prospering externally and internally. The verse says "I pray that you may prosper in all things just as your soul prospers." If we want to prosper in our lives in every way, that includes our soul - our mind, our will, and our emotions.

So, how do we prosper in our soul?

The following verse (verse 3) gives us a great clue for how our soul prospers in Christ:

 For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.

God's truth living inside of us, and walking in that truth is what causes us to prosper. We obtain truth by spending time with God in His Word. 

Let's fill ourselves up with God's truth daily and watch how our souls prosper!

Ministry of Motherhood is a brand new group starting up this week for moms of children school-age and older! The group will meet at OLC on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM (During New Roots Youth). If you have any questions, call or text Brittany at 403 929 1619.

As we approach Easter, join us as we take time to pray and fast before the Lord. Mon, April 14 - Thurs, April 17 from 7:00-8:00 PM each evening at OLC.



Our Good Friday Service is coming up on April 18th at 9:00 AM. A free pancake breakfast will follow at 10:00 AM downstairs! Everyone is welcome!
