We were so thankful to be able to gather in the house of our Heavenly Father again this past weekend, it was great to see all of your smiling faces again. Psalm 122:1 says “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!”” and that rings so true.
Church Events:
This week Saturday, November 28th from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm we will be decorating the church for Christmas! It's time to trim the tree and deck the halls, and we need your help! Stop by if you have time, we will have coffee and snacks for all of those helping out!
On November 26th we will be having another day of prayer and fasting with Alberta Prayer and Fasting. Join us as a province as we pray for our government and all the people of this province. The church sanctuary will be open from 10 am - 2 pm if you would like to come in and pray. We will have worship music playing in the background, and we ask that if you are present to be mindful of others who are present. We will also be live-streaming the Zoom prayer meeting from
12 pm - 1 pm so you will be able to join with everyone when that starts! Also, from 1 pm until 2 pm the seniors will be gathering here at the church to pray.
On Wednesday, December 2nd at 7 pm we will be hosting a lady's night here at the church. Ladies come out for a night of worship, fellowship and an encouraging message.
We are in need of a couple more volunteers for our 2-5 classroom for OLC Kids, if you are interested in becoming a part of this amazing team, please talk to Pastor Mitchell
Engage Youth has been meeting the past few months, and we always look forward to having more youth from grades 6 and up come and join us! We meet every Sunday night at 6:30 pm right here at the church. We play games, have worship, prayer and a great message from our leaders. Stop by and bring a friend or two, we look forward to having you with us!
Things to think on:
With restrictions on gatherings and get together's it can be hard to connect with your fellow believers, and when we lack connection it is easy to feel alone. Not only can we feel alone but it can be scary to deal with everything going on. This is where having a relationship with God is a true blessing. Proverbs 18:10 says this “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” We can run to God, and He will keep us safe! He is a strong tower that will defend and guard us and nothing can take down that tower! If you are having these fears or you feel alone just remember that you can always turn to God, He is always there for you.
