Happy Tuesday OLC! If you missed the message from Pastor Wayne and Pastor Mitchell this past Sunday you can go to our website to watch it, or even better head over to our YouTube channel, and you can see all the past messages there as well.
Church Events:
- Our Evangelism Course is looking for donations of the following items:
Gatorade/Powerade
Water Bottles
Prepackaged cookies/snacks/granola bars **nut free**
Small notebooks (need to fit in a lunch-sized paper bag)
Pen's
You can drop off any of these donated items at our office
- Don't forget that you can still give to the Church by e-transfer at giving@onelifechurch.ca, or if you want you can call the office at 403-394-7707 to book an appointment to drop off a cheque or give by debit or credit.
-We are planning on having our Baptismal Service on Sunday, May 30th, (so long as restrictions are not extended) make sure you mark this down on your calendars and join with us as we celebrate those who are being baptized. If you are interested in being baptized you can talk to Pastor Wayne, or Pastor Mitchell, just give them a call at the office!
Things to think on
Our message this past week was all about finding our rest in God, and how even to find rest we have to work at it. It may seem a bit strange when you first hear it but this works on many levels in life. When you want something in life you have to work hard to achieve it, if you want that promotion at work you have to work hard to prove to someone else that you can do it, if you want to pay off your debt, you have to work hard to pay it all off. Our spiritual walk is no different. If we want rest in God we have to draw closer to Him and that takes work and effort on our part. If you are going through any storms in your life if keep leaning into God and He will give you rest!
