Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing DestinyHappy New Year! We pray that you will experience God in a deeper way this year!
Announcements:Our
21 days of prayer and fasting have begun! In union with the church of Lethbridge, we are taking these 21 days to pray for a move of God in Southern Alberta. We’re sending out
weekly emails with all of the info on what to pray for specifically, so if you’d like to receive those and haven’t signed up yet, let us know by emailing Lainey at
laineyd@onelifechurch.ca.
We also encourage you to pick up one of our
devotionals, "
Experiencing God," in the Connect Hub on Sunday for $10 if you haven’t yet. These devotionals were created to be used as a source of encouragement and direction in growing your personal relationship with God during this time of prayer and fasting!
Tuesday evening prayer is back on tonight at
7:00 pm here at the church, and we invite you to come out if you can! It’s always a powerful time as we pray together as a church!
Connect Groups are starting back up! You can check out
the events page on our website to see when the groups are happening. In addition, many of our Connect Home Groups will begin again at the end of January. More details will be available for the Connect Home Groups soon!
Encouraging Thoughts:
Life has a way of shaking us all around if we are not deeply rooted in something. The Bible tells us that when we fill our hearts and minds with God's word every day, we will be firmly planted, unable to be moved by the winds and storms of life, and that we will be nourished by the continual flow of the living water that only God can provide. This is the only way to find true security!
Let this year be one where you become rooted deeper in God's truth by making your time with Him the foundation of your life!
"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers."
Psalms 1:1-3 NASB
