Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny
Matthew 26:40-41 "Then He returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, 'Couldn't you keep watch with Me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the Spirit is willing, but the body is weak.' "
As Jesus approached the time of His death, He asked His closest followers to pray with Him. When He found that they had given into the flesh and fallen asleep instead of "keeping watch" and praying with Him for even one hour, He admonished them that in order to stay strong in their faith in the coming hours, they must stay in contact with God and alert to what was going on beyond the physical realm!
This is true for each of us too! In order to avoid the many temptations that cause us to stray from our security of Christ, and in order to be alert to what is happening in the spiritual realm in the times we are living in, we MUST choose to spend time praying and keeping watch!

As we are in the week leading up to our day of remembrance of Jesus going to the cross for us, we are taking an hour each night to "pray and keep watch," spending intentional time in God's presence, praying & listening to what He wants to say to us about our lives, church, and community. We invite you to join us for an hour from 7-8 pm tonight through Thursday as we follow in His example!
- We're having a Hymn Sing on April 12 at 6:30 pm! Pastor Mitchell will be leading us in our favorite hymns, and we welcome those of any age to join us!
- Remember, if you have a testimony to share, send us a 2-3 minute video telling it (info@onelifechurch.ca), and we'd love to share it at one of our Sunday services!
