Yearning For Spring ...
The month of March seems to bring with it a sense of expectation for spring! We start to look for the early signs of the changing seasons: The days slowly getting longer, songbirds increasing, and new buds appearing on the trees.

Early spring also brings with it a lot of uncertainty. Especially surrounding the weather. How many more snowfalls will we see? How long till we can ditch the winter clothes and put away the snow brushes for our vehicles? Temperatures often fluctuate up and down more than riding a roller coaster at the Summer fair.

When God is doing new things in our hearts and lives, it can feel a lot like waiting for Spring. We are looking ahead and seeing glimpses of the great things that God promised, but there is a lot that we can't see yet, and sometimes a lot of changes that we don't understand or anticipate.

The Lord says in Isaiah 43:19, Behold I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the wasteland.

Even though there can be much uncertainty, we can trust God to work in us what He desires. To birth a new thing in our hearts, or to stir up something already within us that He wants to bring forth.

Let's remember that we can trust God to lead us into the new things that He has planned for this year!

There will be a special Water Baptism Service coming up on Sunday, March 16th at OLC! If you or anyone you know wants to be baptized, talk to Pastor Wanye or contact the church.
